In a nut shell though, Dom Lawton and I (Emily Barker) are currently collaborating with film-maker Brett Harvey and dancer/choreographer Emily Dobson in Cornwall on a project that explores how human beings affect their environments.
Also, just yesterday, Dom and I started our first album together.
We recorded the opening track in Dom’s studio in Leicester which was initially an improvisation we sang in a tunnel at the China Clay Pit in St. Austell, Cornwall. We then relearnt the harmonies and recorded them adding sparse electric guitar. Music that is inspiring and informing our album is ‘Ephphatha’ by Human Bell, ‘Things we lost in the fire’ and ‘Long Division’ by Low and ‘Home’ by Peter Broderick.
